"John passed away suddenly a week or so ago. John (September 18, 1938) was an active and very proficient shooter in many shooting disciplines an excellent woodworker, making most of his own furniture and cabinetry.
In more recent years John took up golf, as per John’s many passions, he played everyday. He was one of the members and contributors to the Castlegar Pistol Club, West Kootenay Marksman, IPSC BC, the North East Washington Regulators, and Birchbank golf course. John will be missed by his many shooting friends.
As per his request, there will be no memorial service."
